2005 Tidal Twinings Exhibit
A poem by Therese Fisher

Hundreds of Handles
 is this year's theme.
Weave by yourself,
or weave with a team.
Make something special
for all to enjoy.
Come on now,
there's no time to be coy.
Need inspiration?
Some thoughts here for you:
A pipe,
a large bead,
or part of a shoe.
A doorknob,
a loop,
something braided
or twisted.
Go ahead be creative,
try something not listed.
So get movin', get goin'
and we'll see you this fall.
We look forward to those baskets,
but you most of all!

General Retreat Exhibit Information
Each year we have an exhibit at the retreat. The purpose of the exhibit is to share our latest work with each other. It is a chance for us to celebrate our work as an individual and to celebrate our accomplishments as a community of basket weavers. It is a chance to inspire and be inspired. Each year the retreat committee chooses a theme for the exhibit. This is not meant to stifle, but to inspire you towards something new that you might not have tried before. So go ahead, give it a try. All retreat participants are encouraged to submit up to three items for the exhibit, regardless of weaving experience!

Bring your pieces for the exhibit with you to retreat. We will have information on dropping your baskets off as well as forms for labeling them at the retreat (at the check-in/registration table).
