Description: In this class, we will explore using paper weaving as part of a weaving practice. Using fun and quick paper weaving exercises builds strong skills for weaving. It's a great way to explore an idea before launching into a project! You will be introduced to different types of natural paper, including Washi Paper (a traditional Japanese paper made from the fibers of the mulberry tree). We will start with cutting techniques, move to weaving exercises, and assemble our work into a class journal.
