Description: As weavers we have a strong understanding of how satisfying it is to create something that is both beautiful and functional. In this class we will be creating on the edge of form and function. We will be learning how to: set the frame shape, a figure 8 or over under pattern to weave it, and how to add ribs to the form when the weaving gets too wide. We will be using undyed reed in different sizes to create these shapes. Come make a beautiful leaf/boat/crescent shaped tray with us! Finished trays will measure between 12”-16” long and 4”-6” wide. This is a beginner level technique and is opened to all levels of weaving experience.
Note: this class is meant for Guild members only. If you are not a Guild member, but would like to become one, we welcome you. Click here to become a member.
