Tools needed for class: Small scissors, 6″ x 6″ scrap of cotton cloth. We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand linked here.
Description: In this class you will learn the basics of pine needle basketry using a laser cut wooden center to start. We will use one or two basic stitches, and do both closed and open coiling. We will use pine needles collected in Portland, Oregon, and artificial sinew. Your finished piece will be 1″H x 4-5″D.
