Student skill level: Intermediate; must know basic twining.

Tools needed for class: Small sharp scissors, small packing tool, a tapestry needle. We strongly encourage you to have a second (smartphone) camera over your workspace for demonstration, questions, and problem solving. This greatly aids the instructor, as well as helping you. You can use the DIY camera stand linked here.

Description: For this small Sally-type bag, student must know plain twining. Class will teach full turn twining using polished hemp and acrylic yarn. Full turn allows for changing colors and developing patterns. This is a technique class and project may not be finished in class but full instructions will be provided so that you can finish on your own. You will learn a “fast” start for the base and how to follow a graph pattern. Your finished piece will be 3.5′′H x 2.5′′W x 2.5′′D.
