Description: Create a Coiled Gourd piece drawing inspiration from Mimbres pottery, a Native American tribe once from New Mexico. In this class, you’ll attach hand-dyed Danish cord to a gourd’s edge with waxed linen cord, transition between open and closed coiling to create stair steps, and add beads for decoration. Coiling experience is helpful, but not required. Your finished piece will measure 5” x 5” x5”.
