Date and time: Sunday, July 7, 2024. 8-9 am work on plot and 9-10 am harvest bark.

Location: the Willow Plot, at Our Table Farm Cooperative (13390 SW Morgan Road, Sherwood, Oregon)

Description: Volunteer maintenance & willow bark collection at CBBG’s Our Table (OT) willow plot this Sunday, July 7: 8-9 am work on plot and 9-10 am harvest bark. Hot day predicted.

Please note: Arrive on time; this is not a drop-in event.  Garden work is required in order to collect willow bark.

Meet at the Our Table willow plot to weed, maintain the landscape fabric, and do other willow gardening chores. Wear appropriate gardening gear and come prepared for the hot weather.

If you don’t want willow bark on this day, you can have Willow Bucks for your time. For each volunteer hour you will earn a $5 credit toward either the purchase of OT-grown willow or toward the material fee of a Guild-sponsored willow class in which OT willow is used.  Please keep track of your willow plot volunteer work hours.  If you collect bark, you don’t receive willow bucks.

Our Table Cooperative Farm is located at 13390 SW Morgan Road, Sherwood, Oregon. To get to the CBBG plot, enter the main driveway off Morgan Road, go right where the road “Ts” at the store, go past a few hoop houses, compost area, and blueberries all on your left, and turn into the small parking area by the fenced willow plot.
