CBBG is sponsoring a Basket Sale event for its members in the greater Portland-Vancouver area.

Where: Multnomah Arts Center Auditorium. Bring your own table.

When: Sunday, November 13, 11 am – 3 pm. Set-up at 10:30 am.

Cost: $5-10

This is an opportunity for Guild members who may not normally exhibit or participate in shows to sell their baskets to other members, friends, and the public. It’s also a chance for those with little “inventory” to sell in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.

CBBG has reserved the MAC Auditorium. Set up is at 10:30 am and doors open at 11 am. You must bring your own table and any linens, decorations, and stands that you want for your display. You must bring your own cash box and staff your own table the entire four hours, serving as cashier. CBBG will not provide staffing. Take down in time to vacate the auditorium by 3 pm will be the seller’s responsibility.

Members may partner to share a $10 table.

If you have four or fewer baskets, you can sell at the Group Table, which CBBG will set up. Cost for the Group Table is $5. You must staff the Group Table and be your own cashier unless you make arrangements with another member to cover your sales.

Invite your friends and family. Buy holiday gifts! The sale is open to the public and will be held at the same time as the Portland Handweavers’ Guild holiday sale, which will be in the MAC Gym.

Cost: There is a non-refundable $10 fee per table. To participate in the Group Table (four or fewer baskets), the cost is $5, non-refundable. Register below. Registration is open until November 1.

No commission. Members will be their own cashiers and neither CBBG nor the MAC will take any commission. Pricing is up to the seller. You might consider CBBG member and non-member pricing, for example. But it’s totally up to the seller to set the price.

COVID protocols: CBBG continues to require full vaccination and masking at indoor events. While we cannot stipulate that all those coming in to buy meet these requirements, we ask all sellers to comply.
