Description: Discover the intersection of book arts and fiber arts in this hands-on workshop where you'll create a unique drum leaf bound book designed for paper weaving. Using the drum leaf binding structure, participants will assemble a book that opens beautifully with uninterrupted spreads, creating the perfect surface for weaving directly into the pages. You'll learn simple paper weaving techniques to transform your pages with texture, pattern, and color. Experiment with a variety of papers to create woven compositions that become an integral part of your handmade book. This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as experienced makers looking to explore new creative possibilities. By the end of the session, you'll leave with a completed woven artist's book and the skills to continue combining bookbinding and weaving in your own work. No prior bookbinding or weaving experience is required. All materials are provided.
Supplies needed: All Supplies Provided (paper, book board, cutting tools, glue, brushes, weights) - if you have specific cutting tools you like to use, feel free to bring them.
