You may supply your own materials. Barbara has used Japanese paper called craft band, soaked Sedori cane, thin strips of birch bark, 140 lb. watercolor paper, and strips of plaited straw used to make stitched baskets or hats. Each flower will require at least 14” of ¼” wide, thin, flexible material. Members may purchase paper ratan online as a good option for this project. If using natural material that needs soaking, please keep a spritzer on hand to keep it well-prepared for the 1.5-2 hour class.
