Description:Join Cael Chappell for this unusual class on twining soft materials for every skill level from beginner to advanced. For beginners, there will be some advance homework following his simple and short YouTube videos. Find any flexible cord in your environment and let's work together on twining it into a basket. Pictured is a basket of yarn and rope, another of artificial sinew, and one woven from waxed linen thread - these are just the tip of the iceberg when asking the question, "Will it twine?" Some materials work better than others; this class is about experimenting with readily available materials in your vicinity and sharing our results with each other while also weaving a basket. We will look at a variety of materials such as: paper cord, telephone wire, yarns, some natural plant materials, and whatever else we can find.
