We have received a request from Our Table for some of the fruits of our basketry labors and we would love to honor our ongoing partnership with gifts. Do you have a medium or small basket you could donate to their cause?
Our Table is an awesome cooperative farm and CBBG partner. For more than 10 years it has generously loaned us the use of their land for growing basketry willow. They also allow us to store harvested willow in their barn at no cost to us or our members. Conveniently on site, there is a cute farm store where you can grab a snack and hang out on the patio, or gather the ingredients to make a gourmet meal. The owner and everyone who works there are super friendly to boot.
Their goal: To assemble up to 50 holiday gift baskets to sell using baskets made by CBBG members
Their basket specifications:
30 medium baskets (around 15" wide X 4.5" deep)
20 small baskets (around 12" wide X 4" deep)
Any material is welcome, willow or otherwise
Durable enough to hold and ship the weight of 2 wine bottles or equivalent
Flexible on design!
To participate, just show up to one of three days below, to deliver your basket(s) to Melissa, the assistant store manager at Our Table, 13390 SW Morgan Rd, Sherwood, OR:
Saturday, Nov 1, 2025 at 11am
Saturday, Nov 15, 2025 at 11am
Saturday, Nov 29, 2025 at 11am
If you cannot deliver on one of those times, please contact Kiki and we will work something out! (ColumbiaBasinBasketryGuild@gmail.com)
Our Table will highlight you, the maker, and will make postcards with the maker’s bio info, website, or QR code to share with the lucky basket recipient. If you want to include bio info, please email that directly to melissa@ourtable.us, and be sure to include your bio if you email and put the subject as: Holiday Basket Maker Bio.
Our Table has a small pot of funds to offer as a token of appreciation if the maker requests this. The most they can pay for a medium basket is $50, for a small is $20. Our Table is selling the holiday gift baskets on a consignment basis. This means when your basket sells, you will be sent a check at the end of that week. If it doesn’t sell by Nov 30, they will return the basket to the guild.
If you want payment, email Melissa melissa@ourtable.us. Use subject line: Payment Request - Holiday Basket. Include your name, the size of your basket (medium or small), and your address for a check, when your basket sells. If you don’t want payment, skip this step.
